Effect of quality seed and improvement of cultivation technology to increase the yield of shallots (Allium cepa L. Var. Aggregatum)

Shallots are important horticultural commodities that have high economic value in Indonesia.One of the efforts to increase yield shallots is use quality seeds supported by improvement cultivation technology. The purpose this study was determine effect seed sources and technology can produce best growth shallots. field research carried out village East Penfui. Kupang Regency, May–October 2021. design used a split plot 3 replications. main source farmers (Super Philip F5 Variety, Semau 1 Local Variety Super F3)and sub-plots (farmers Good Agricultural Practices/GAP). Results showed, interaction variety GAP had significantly affect on plant rate, bulbs weight/plant, yield/plot productivity. provides higher yields compared farmer has highest tissue N content, productivity F3 varieties. applied together 45-59%.
